Egyptian Professor Becomes First Arab President of UK’s RCPSG College
Egyptian cardiologist Hany Eteiba has been appointed president of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
The United Kingdom’s Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow has appointed its first-ever Arab president. Professor Hany Eteiba, a cardiologist at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank, Scotland, will begin his term as president-elect on December 1st.
Professor Eteiba has been serving the college for more than 20 years. Throughout his career, he has had multiple achievements including becoming the President of the Scottish Cardiac Society, Associate Medical Director of the Golden Jubilee, and Honorary Professor at the University of Glasgow.
The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow was founded in 1599, and since then has become a revered institution with over 15,000 physicians, surgeons and dental professionals across 97 countries.
