There’s literally never a bad time for ice cream - regardless of what your mother may have told you as a kid - but it absolutely hits best on a sweltering summer day in the city, bringing instant and delicious relief when the sun is beating down. And on that front, there’s good news for the denizens of the northern reaches of Cairo.
Independent, family-owned purveyors of deliciousness FortyOne Ice Cream have opened up a third store, adding an Obour location at Avenue City Walk Mall in addition to their Korba and New Cairo spots.
Expect cups or cones of stupidly silky soft-serve ice cream in a plethora of flavours, or order as a milkshake. FortyOne also serves up sauce-drenched pancakes and waffles, as well as fresh seasonal fruits drizzled with rich chocolate sauce. And lest we forget the other cooling iced drinks on their menu, like the passion fruit and pina colada smoothies, as well as hot and cold coffees to pick from.
